I personally love reading these because I like to get feedback before I purchase & waste money on products. So without further ado, here we go!
Bite agave lip mask- I got this in the beginning of winter hoping it would be my cure to smooth soft lips. Not only did it not help the chapping too much but it was expensive! It was $26.00 at Sephora. I used it for about a week and a half before I finally stopped. It’s very thick and smells great but it’s hard to squeeze out of the tube! I put mine on overnight because I feel like it does better without me being awake to wipe it, lick it off, etc. This product just really didn’t do anything for me. My lips were still chapped and I used my eos balm after and they healed right up.
Nars stick concealer- This concealer was not terrible, but definitely not worth the price. It goes on pretty smoothly but if you have any real redness or acne it cakes up so easily. By the end of they day I was getting concealer rings around my acne… NOT CUTE. I returned this to Sephora a week after I bought it.
Fresh soy face wash- I’ve been hearing great things about this face wash since forever! I got it with my rewards points at Sephora. I was pretty excited to try it too! My skin is acne prone so oily skin is an issue, but as I was washing, my face was literally making this squeaking
noise. It stripped my skin and the amount of fragrance in it made it a definite no-no for me. My sensitive skin just couldn’t handle this so called “gentle” cleanser.
Stila smudge pot in Kitten- I originally got this because of Mac’s paint pots. I had heard this was a pretty good dupe so I gave it a shot. The lasting power is great but the slight glitter in this pot got so chunky! No matter how much I blended it just stuck together and didn’t look good on my lids. I tried a primer underneath to help smooth it out and it really did no good. Beautiful color without the glitter, but another returned item.
Benefit Eye Cream- Again with the heavily scented items!! I was surprised when I opened this package. It does smell super good but with the amount of fragrance it dried up my eye area more than it helped it. I wanted to like it especially since it came in the most adorable packaging known to man, but the chemistry just wasn’t there! It was pretty expensive and since it didn’t moisturize my eye area I returned it.
What products are you disappointed in? Do you return them or give them to family/friends? Let me know your thoughts below!!

Hey everyone! I recently made a pretty big decision to go on accutane! I start it in about 10 days! I know the drug has so many side affects and may not work 100% for all patients but I am willing to try!
For those of you who don’t know I’ve recently ( in the last 1.5 years) have gotten very hormonal deep cystic acne. It makes me so self conscious of my skin and it is super painful. I’ve been on many different treatments and the last time I went to the dermatologist he suggested we move on to the Accutane. I was thinking of keeping a journal of my journey through this lovely process! I have hope that this will work for me and prevent any more scarring and damage to my skin. Overall I’m excited yet cautious on starting the drug. Have any of you been on accutane? Any advice?

Lucky Life Beauty
Hey everyone! I wanted to share with you guys a hairstyle that I am loving lately! With Friday being Valentine’s Day I figured I would share this quick and easy hair style(especially for those of us in a hurry to meet our date after work)! Disclaimer: I am not the best at hair so any hair styles I post are very easily achieved!
Things you will need:
Step 1: Braid the underside. Flip your hair over your head and pull the lowest section down. Some of you may need thicker sections. Braid it upwards and tie it with an elastic. In this step it will look like you have a rat tail.
Step 2: Pull all hair and braid up into a smoothed pony tail on the crown of your head. Make sure the pony is very tight.
Step 3: Pull the pony straight up in the air and put the bun donut around the pony toward the top. Roll the bun donut down the pony tail until it forms a perfect round bun on the top of your head. If there are any hairs sticking out of the bun use bobby pins and pin them down. If there are any fly always spray them down with hairspray.
Step 4: Accessorize! I almost always pair this style with a thick black headband or a decorative headband. I don’t do the ones that wrap all the way around because it takes away from the braid!
The back should look the like this:
The front should look like this:
I think the braid gives this bun that try hard look even though it’s so easy! It was so cute and I’ve been loving it and wearing it so much I had to share!

Hey everyone! I wanted to do a review on a product that everyone is raving about. It’s the GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Mask. It is a rather expensive product which is why I decided to do this review. The price is $69.00 at sephora.com. I have very problematic skin which is why I was attracted to it.
The packaging is pretty cute!
It smells like a nice peppermint scent when you apply it. Your supposed to leave the mask on for about 5-10 minutes or use it as a spot treatment. It looks dark when you apply it and when it starts to dry it looks grey. The crazy thing about this mask is that you can actually see it sucking the dirt from your pores. I can’t believe I’m showing you all this but this was my nose:
You can really see the work that it’s doing! It is easily rinsed off unlike other mud based masks, which I really liked. I definitely did notice that it helped with my acne and surprisingly my acne scars. It is a tad but drying so make sure to use a good moisturizer afterward. If you have problematic skin I absolutely think that this is a great mask! The only downside I see is the price. It’s definitely a splurge, but I think it was worth the splurge!
Have you tried this mask yet? If so what’d you think?!

I know I’m a little late on the favorites train but January has gone so fast! Time waits for no one!
I have a couple of products that I reached for everyday in January so here we go!
Nyx Thalia- This lipstick is a dupe for Mac’s Modesty. It’s a beautiful nude pink color and goes with everything. I’m in love with it and it was $3.99. Heck yes.
Urban Decay Lip Liner in Naked- I actually got this for Christmas and didn’t know what to think of it as I hadn’t been much into lip liners. I absolutely adore this lip liner. It’s great for beginners and looks totally natural and really plumps and fills out the lips.
Too faced Chocolate Soliel Bronzer– This bronzer is the perfect shade for me in the winter. It’s not too harsh on my pale skin and gives me the perfect amount of added color to my face. It brings me to life and it smells like chocolate!
Sexy Dahlia Rush perfume- I got this as a gift for Christmas and with it was the shae butter in the same set. I love both. They smell delightful. It’s like a musty sweet scent with dahlias, I don’t know. I can’t explain the scent but I just know that when I put it on I can’t stop sniffing it!
Maybelline Color Tattoo:Bad to the Bronze- I think this will always be one of my favorites. Since it has gotten extremely cold I’ve been sleeping longer in January and needed to get ready faster. This shadow is a dream for that. I don’t need eye primer, and it gives the look of a darker crease color with only using 1 product. All hail Maybelline.
Lancôme Hypnose star Mascara- I love this mascara. I’ve grabbed it almost every day in January. For me it’s important to have a good mascara because I have these tiny little lashes that need a big boost! This does just that. The brush is awesome,(one angle separates, the other volumizes) the formula keeps my lashes lifted all day, and if you have to touch it up it doesn’t clump!
Dior Creme de Rose Lip Butter- My lips this month have been insanely dry and chapped. I’ve been using this overnight and before my lipstick during the day and boy what a difference! I love it! It is a bit pricey but I do think that it is well worth it! If you’ve had trouble with this not doing a great job the trick is to crack it open and get the soft product from the inside!
That’s all of the favorites that I had for the month! What were some things that you were loving?!?
Thanks for reading!!
I saw this on Pintrest the other day and I just loved the idea! For us makeup shopaholics sometimes it can get expensive and a bit overwhelming with choices when it comes to buying makeup. I have bought tons of products and watched tons of them dry up and go bad because I just had to have another one. So instead of doing this so much I am putting together a list every couple of months of products that I’m using up before I can rush out and buy more! I figured if I shared them with you guys I could be held more accountable for my makeup addiction!
I’m using up:
Urban Decay Eyeliners– I have 3, all mini sizes
Mascara– Lancome Hypnose Star, Loreal Butterfly
Night Cream– Korres Yoghurt Facial
Eye Cream– Olay
Facial Masks– Glamglow and Michael Todd Mango& Avocado
Moisturizer– Nutregena Combo Skin
Exfoliator– Michael Todd
Lip product-Dior Creme de rose
Primer-Urban Decay brightening tightening primer
What products will you try to use up?
For my entire life I had lived near a Sephora, and when I moved I realized that the only thing around was an Ulta. So recently I was traveling for work and low and behold the building that one of my classes was in was right next door to a Sephora. Not one of those mini ones inside of JCP but an actual store! I was so absolutely excited, and yes I know that I can just order online but it just is not the same as walking around with the basket to fill in my hands! Plus you get to try everything and I’m just addicted. Anyway, I ended up with some stuff and wanted to share it with you guys!!!
Things I bought.
Urban Decay Brightening and Tightening Primer: This item was not really on my “want” list. I was just feeling out some different primers and this one felt amazing on the skin. It was $31.00 at Sephora and I can’t wait to use it more!
Korres Greek Yogurt Nourishing Sleeping Facial: I have been seeing everyone rave about this “sleeping facial” and I just knew that I had to try it! It feels really nice and soft on the skin. Some people complain about the smell but I don’t mind it. It does kind of smell like yogurt but I like that. It was a little more expensive at $45.00 but I can say that you’ll need the smallest amount on your skin. It is VERY hydrating.
First Aid Beauty Fab Faves to Go Kit: I got this kit mostly for the face wash in it but I also wanted to try the other items in the pack. This brand is supposed to be very gentle and have no fragrance. It was $28.00.
GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD: Ok, I know that this is a ridiculous price to spend on a facial mask. It was $70.00 but my skin has been going kind of crazy lately so i figured this might tame it a bit. I will definitely be doing a review on it soon!
Cargo Lipstick- Dubai: I got this lipstick at Ulta for $22.00. I was looking for something new that I haven’t tried before and I am glad I Picked this up! The color is a perfect nude for my skin tone and they are super creamy.
Cargo Eyeliner- Blacksea: I got this eyeliner at Ulta. Mine was having a special with Cargo products on the day I went in. It is normally $18.00 but mine was 12. It has a nice black color and I think it’s great!
Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Powder Foundation& Tarte Airbuki Brush: I got this set on QVC for $39.00 for both! If you hurry there they might still have them in stock… I am semi-obsessed with www.essiebutton.com blog and she was raving about this a couple of days ago so I bought it! It looks like it gives awesome coverage. As for the brush it is super soft and blends well on my hand! Can’t wait to try it on my skin!
Josie Maran Argan Oil & Coconut Cheek Gelee in Rose& Poppy: I also got this on QVC for $29.00. This is awesome because they are normally $22 a piece. They’re very pigmented and I love them. They are beautiful and moisturizing!
Thanks for reading! I hope you guys have tried some of these things and have loved them like I am hoping to!
Until next time..
So let me start off with this being said. I love Michael Todd products, I think they are great! I placed an order a couple of weeks ago and got a Hydration Boost serum, and a Mango Avocado Mask. I love both of these and have repurchased several times. I am acne prone but due to all the drying medicines I sometimes need hydrating products.
This time I got a free gift along with them. I looked and saw they had makeup removing wipes and I was so excited. You get 30 wipes for $7.00. The packaging is cute with little cucumbers all over it!
I normally don’t use these but if I’m in a time crunch and can’t wash my face before I go to the gym, I will use them. So the other day I was having a day like that so I whip them out of my bag and I dragged the wipe across my forehead and oh my gosh my face was screaming in pain! My skin was hurting, burning, and turned red all within seconds. I thought it might just be reacting this way on my forehead so I tried one cheek. I wiped and the same thing happened on my cheek! Wahh!
Now I do have pretty acne prone sensitive skin, but after using these my skin on my forehead (which never breaks out!) and one cheek broke out very badly. Sigh.
So if you were thinking about trying this organic brands wipe, I suggest you don’t. Turns out these have a ton of fragrance and even though it claims to be made with cucumber and aloe it’s not very soothing. If you really want a makeup remover the Nuetrogena ones do well. Realistically they’re so quick and easy but most dermatologists will not recommend wipes!
Until next time…
